Because of the nature of my business, I communicate with hundreds of coaches on a regular basis. And do you know what we all have in common? Enormous passion for learning.

That was one of the reason why I enjoy to be around this tribe and chose the business of helping coaches to learn: I’m a great enthusiast of lifelong learning, myself!!

As with any great quality, however, there is a flip side to our commonality.  I call it the “learning trap.”

I think information for our mind is like food for our body. We need it and we love it, but we can easily create disbalance if we forget how to manage it.  Just as we can over eat, we can overwhelm ourselves with an indulgence of information.  Just as we can consume “junk food,” we can get obsessed with poor quality information.  And just as we can be troubled by poor digestive conditions, we can have “bad digestion” in relation to how we process the information that we consume.

In my own dedication to lifelong learning, I have developed a few simple rules which, if carefully followed, can help you to find your way to a “healthy diet” in regards to information and, as a result, bring “good health” to your mind.

The “learning trap” is one of the common obstacles we need to recognize and overcome to be able to create our a thriving coaching practice. Click through the video below to learn precisely what it is and how to stop it in its tracks.

Thank you so much for listening. Have a wonderful week and we’ll see you next Tuesday, with another Headway Q&A.

Warm regards,

Alex
